Our Story

For V, one of our cofounders, it all started with the comforting hum of a small tractor and the scent of fresh soil on Grandpa’s farm in Lāʻie, Hawaiʻi. Morning sunrises over the Koʻolaus meant slopping pigs, tending the fields, and learning the importance of caring for the land, these lessons would stay long after the final harvest of every season. These early days left a profound imprint on his heart, the formative lesson that deep and nourishing connections with nature allow us to bring out the best in ourselves and our communities.

At the same time and a couple of time zones away, you find T among rolling hills dotted with grazing cattle in Utah. Here, he learned firsthand how ranching traditions and hard work turn simple, sustainable resources into something exceptional. Whether mucking out the barn before school or helping deliver newborn calves in the crisp dawn air, the responsibilities and rewards of ranch life taught him grit and gratitude in equal measure.

Why Tallow?

From these roots grew a passion for honest, time-honored practices, and for all things beef...including tallow. We come from generations who believed that quality ingredients from well-tended animals can be transformed into incredibly nourishing products. Tallow has been revered for centuries as a clean, sustainable, and versatile resource. Our hope is to preserve this artisanal heritage while sharing the simplicity and excellence of tallow with you.
